Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly to us when you create an account, take a diagnostic exam, purchase a plan, or contact us. This includes your name, email address, test date, goal score, and exam responses. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google — we never see or store your Google password. We also collect anonymous usage data such as pages visited and time spent on the site to improve our product.
How we use your information
We use your information to provide and improve our services, personalize your course experience based on your diagnostic results, process payments securely through Stripe, send you course updates and study tips (you can unsubscribe anytime), and respond to your support requests. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.
Google sign-in
We use Google OAuth for authentication. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address only. We do not access your Google contacts, Gmail, Google Drive, or any other Google services. Your Google password is never shared with us — authentication is handled entirely by Google. You can revoke Novus Learning's access to your Google account at any time through your Google Account settings at myaccount.google.com.
Payments and financial data
All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see, store, or have access to your credit card number, bank account information, or any other financial details. Stripe is PCI-DSS compliant and handles all payment data. For questions about payment security visit stripe.com/privacy.
Data storage and security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which provides enterprise-grade encryption at rest and in transit. We use SSL/TLS encryption for all data transmitted between your browser and our servers. While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and sign out of shared devices.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how people use our site. We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features of the site may not work properly without them.
Third-party services
We use the following third-party services to operate Novus Learning: Google (authentication), Stripe (payments), Supabase (database and authentication infrastructure), Vercel (website hosting), and Formspree (contact form submissions). Each of these services has their own privacy policy governing how they handle data. We only share the minimum information necessary with each service to provide our product.
Children's privacy
Novus Learning is designed for high school students preparing for the ACT. Students under 13 should only use our service with parental consent. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13 without consent, please contact us at contact@novuslearning.academy and we will delete it promptly.
Your rights
You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request corrections to inaccurate data, request deletion of your account and associated data, and opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@novuslearning.academy. We will respond within 30 days.
Data retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes. Anonymized, non-identifiable data may be retained for analytical purposes.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or by displaying a notice on our website. The date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last updated. Your continued use of Novus Learning after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
